La Nouba was ready for the flight. Where was he going? Who was he? And why was he going? At this point in time and space all he really wanted to do was follow his heart and discover new things about his world. Once in a while he was rather bull headed, and La Nouba knew that when he kept his eyes and ears open and his mouth closed, he could touch pathways into his head and heart that had been previously blocked. All he had to do was stick with his strategy of being present at all times in all ways. "Wow," he thought, "that is a challenge of its own."
"Yes it can be,"replied Wayzata.
"Oh hello, who are you?"asked La Nouba.
"I am Wayzata, the Star Woman. I'll help you find your own natural brilliance and stay tuned to it."
"You will?"
"Yes, if you're willing . You see, the willingness of the seeker enhances the experience."
"It does?" asked La Nouba.
"Yes, when you open your own mind and heart to new ways, life flows and you stay in the moment. You can hear your own inner voice, trust it and be loyal to it."
"I'm willing," responded La Nouba. "When do we start?"
"How about the present?"
"OK, what do we do first?" asked La Nouba.
"We can start in any way and we'll take it step by step. What is it that you especially like to do?" asked Wayzata. "I really love to dance," answered La Nouba.
"OK, we'll do a lot of dancing, whatever kinds you like and as much as you like," said Wayzata.
"This sounds fun."
"Good. Now what is it that you're thankful for?"
"I'm thankful for evening dances where my feet can play by the river."
"What else?" asked Wayzata.
"I'm thankful for remembering the longest storm where grace and delight touched me in a personal way that brought me back to my own life."
"What exactly do you mean?" asked Wayzata.
"My dancing took on a new direction, one of service, of sharing , of teaching and learning, of joy and responding with joy. It took on a new structure. It became structured for a win response all along the way with infinite possibilities to be creative."
"Like preparing dinner for eight in a barn with simple pots to cook in and eat from, and the food being prepared is unique to the time, space and available resources," commented Wayzata.
"Yes, the life dance took on a synergy of its own," added La Nouba. "And just when I thought I was dancing alone, the pace changed slightly, and suddenly I was dancing with someone, a special someone, a kindred spirit, soul mate, life partner who loved dancing as much as I do. We appeared to be dancing on different life pathways, in what seemed like different directions, yet we were moving along together in a retro groove, knowing and understanding one another's rhythms, beats, melodies and harmonies."
"Did you do a double take?" asked Wayzata.
"Yes, the wave of music we were dancing to lifted our energy and integrity levels to new heights. We both concurred that when we dance and move our bodies, we feel our best and receive the highest clarity. We could "strut our stuff" so to speak, on the dance path of life having fun and laughing and simply be ourselves, ringing bells and wonder about wandering."
"It sounds like you two speak the same language, a foreign language, or is it a second language?" asked Wayzata.
"It is a second language in a way. It's the language of the heart, the innocence of communication, the grandeur of being impeccable, being the best truth you can be," responded La Nouba. "And simply doing and being the dance at the exact same moment."
"Do be do be do," chimed in Wayzata.
"Do be do be do be do," sang La Nouba joined by Rose Zen Heart.
"Hello Rose Zen Heart. Nice of you to dance your way in. I'd like you to meet Wayzata. She's the Star Woman and is helping me tap into my own natural brilliance."
"Nice to meet you Wayzata. I'm Rose Zen Heart."
"Greetings," said Wayzata. "La Nouba was also helping me tap dance into my own natural brilliance. It's amazing how easy it is to remember who we are when we're dancing and celebrating."
"Yes, sacred ground is everywhere. There is sweet honey in all the rocks of the earth," commented Rose Zen Heart.
"And we breathe in the sacredness of life, each time we breathe. The sacred journey is within each of us," commented La Nouba. "And often it is simply a space, a pause in time, a brief stop in the dance."
"Or sometimes a long stop, a break in between the dances," added Wayzata. "The waiting is sometimes just as sacred as the dancing."
"And it gives us a chance to see and understand what wants to happen naturally," said Rose Zen Heart.
"And staying present, tuned into the moment is exceptionally vital," added Wayzata.
"This is the time, this is the space to be the dance, do the dance. Do be do be do be," sang La Nouba.
"And if you don't dance your dance, who will?" asked Wayzata.
"Sometimes I come up blank. I think I know the dance and in actuality there is nothing there. What do I do then? Who am I, I ask myself," commented Rose Zen Heart.
"Yes and how do I stayed tuned into my own natural brilliance when the blank happens or I get detoured?" added La Nouba.
"Feel the freedom even if it's only a small bit of freedom. Bless it and be thankful for it. Often times we are to let go of old dances, old paradigms, old steps, to make room for new ones. Other times the "blank" is simply new space, new learning surface, new dance floor, to add onto what we already know and understand," Wayzata shared.
"Life dancing under the piano as well as on top of it and around it!" said La Nouba.
"Yes, yes, that's it!" exclaimed Rose Zen Heart.
"And when you understand what the opportunities are, the freedom to dance expands and springs forth and fiddlers are dancing everywhere!" responded Wayzata. "Letting go and expanding strengthens the circle of dancing."
"My heart, my breath, and my brain create a synergy, a dance," said La Nouba, "when I allow them to."
"Yes, and I've noticed when my hands and feet are added into the synergy, the dance becomes itself. It becomes me. I become the dance. The connection delivers the music, the dancers, the space and the time," added Rose Zen Heart.
"And the crossroads of life lead to many dances for those who are hungry for spirit, love and peace," concluded Wayzata. "We are dancers in the light and peace is in every one of us and in every step we make."
"It's in everyone of us to be wise,
Find your heart, open up both your eyes
We can all dance everywhere without ever knowing how.
It's in everyone of us here and now." Anne Hornstein, B.Sc. is a certified Brain Gym® consultant in Destin, Florida and facilitates Life Dancing and Brain Gym adventures for groups and individuals of all ages. She can be reached at 850-654-4342 or LifeDancer@mac.com.
